First Leg of Old Perseans Roadshow

First Leg of Old Perseans Roadshow 29 April 2010

Members of Perse staff met with Old Perseans at a reunion event at Blackfriars' Hall, Norwich on 28 April.

The first leg of the Old Perseans' Roadshow kicked off in Norwich this week with an OP Reunion at the historic Blackfriars' Hall in Norwich. During the afternoon event, OPs and their guests were treated to high tea, consisting of freshly-made sandwiches and hand-made scones with clotted cream and strawberry jam, which were all washed down with tea and coffee.

OPs were interested to see numerous photographs that were taken during their time at the Perse on display, as well as copies of the Pelican newsletter from their era and current memorabilia. A running slide show and the Eric Mival film of the school were also shown during the event.

The members of Perse staff who hosted the event were Eddie Copeland (Development Director), Amanda Augstein (Alumni Officer), Roxanne Yahaya (Development Officer) and David Jones (Archivist).

Upcoming events in the Roadshow will be the Cambridge OP Open Day at the Perse Upper School / Histon Manor on 6th May, the London Professionals' Evening at the Royal Automobile Club on 20th May, and finally the Bristol OP Reunion at Bristol Zoo on 22nd May.
